Here are a few reasons my clients appreciate my representation:

  1. I am a local DWI and Criminal Defense lawyer who "knows the ropes" in the area of DWI and Criminal defense, and most especially in Tompkins County Courts. I also travel frequently to other counties that surround Ithaca, New York. You need an experienced attorney who keeps up with the latest legal cases and scientific information concerning New York cases.

  2. Unlike most generalist attorneys who handle many areas of law, or even "general criminal defense attorneys," almost every one of the cases for which I am retained is a DWI or somehow related to driving or alcohol-abuse or drug abuse/possession. This enables me to give you the best possible representation for your Ithaca, Tompkins County, New York case.

  3. Accessible 24 hours a day/ seven days a week/ 365 days a year.

  4. You have my cell phone number: 607-229-5184

  5. (My clients can fax and email directly to my phone)

  6. I charge fair, reasonable, and flat-fees on DWI cases. There are no surprise costs.

  7. I represent YOUR interests and work to satisfy YOUR goals.

  8. I represent you at all DMV hearings and will advise you to help you restore your driving privileges. However, since 2020, these hearings have become less formal and are often over the phone.

  9. I accept checks, Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, e-checks and cash for DWI and criminal defense cases. There may also be financing options available through LawPay.

  10. I clearly and regularly communicate with you concerning your options at every stage of the case. Read my many reviews to confirm this on Avvo.com and google.com.

  11. You will ALWAYS talk directly to ME (and not an associate or paralegal). I do not have an assistant.

  12. I will provide you with written information so that you can make informed and educated decisions throughout the process.

  13. My practice focuses on Ithaca and Tompkins County cases primarily. However, I have good relationships with the DA offices in Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben, Cortland, Yates, and Broome counties. New York DWI laws are complicated, and techniques in defending DWI are constantly changing. That is why it is important to find a lawyer who stays on top of the current laws, trends, and what occurs in Ithaca-area courts every day. I am that attorney.

  14. Finally, I concentrate my Continuing Legal Education on DWI and criminal defense specific seminars, rather than general law issues. This assures that I always have the most current, up-to-date information from the best practitioners across the country to benefit my clients. You can find more information about some of my CLE attendance on www.ncdd.com. (National College for DUI Defense). I am never done learning or honing my skills.
